GK Vasan Quits Congress - Name of New Party in Tiruchi Public Meet

- GK Vasan has quit Congress today November 3, 2014 (Monday)

- GK Vasan to form new party - Name, Flag of the party to be revealed in Tiruchi Public Rally soon

- Vasan says in his new party promotion, appointment will be based on merit (inderectly quoting it is not so in Congress)

- Vasan said, since Congress party was weak in TN, it must have given more powers to state leaders 

- Vasan said his new par ty will strengthen base in villages and will work for the welfare of people

- Vasan in interview to news channel denied that he is in talks with BJP saying the ideology of the 2 parties are different

- Recently Vasan loyalist Gnanadesikan resigned as TNCC President. Congress High Command's objection to have Moopanar photo is ID card is stated as reason for his resignantion

- Congress soon appointed EVKS Elangovan as new state Chief

- Elangovan said Vasan must n ot leave his house i.e., the Congress party
