HTC One Remix

Verizon is now offering its version of the HTC One Mini 2, which it has, renamed HTC One remix. The handset is a more compact take on the current flagship HTC One M8.

When HTC launched the HTC One at Mobile World Congress in 2013, the smartphone was named 'Best Mobile Device.' The handset was highly praised for its premium design build, which consisted of glass and an anodized aluminum unibody case that had been curved to fit comfortably in the hand. The HTC One was one of the top selling smartphones of 2013 and the company didn't veer off course with this year's flagship HTC One M8.

We had the opportunity to review the HTC One M8 in April and came away very impressed with the flagship smartphone. HTC has another hit on its hands, as the company just announced that sales of the HTC One M8 have scored the company a profit for the second quarter.

HTC is also addressing the mini smartphone market with its HTC One Mini 2. The handset features a virtually identical design to the HTC One M8 but provides it in a more compact device with a 4.5-inch HD display.

Verizon is now selling its variant of the HTC One Mini 2, which it has decided to call HTC One remix online and in its retail stores for $49.99 when signing a new 2-year contract or $22.49 per month for 20 months via Verizon EDGE.

The HTC One remix's camera capabilities consist of a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chat and both cameras support recording 1080p Full HD video. The smartphone is also XLTE Ready, allowing faster network speeds in areas with support. It ships with a 2,100 mAh battery that will provide up to 15 hours of normal use and 16 days of standby time.
