Friday brought both good and bad news from the oil sector. While auto fuels became cheaper, CNG and PNG are set to pinch the Mumbaikar hard. The price of petrol has been reduced by Rs.2.55 a litre to Rs.71.91 in Mumbai, thanks to a fall in international crude rates. Diesel too became cheaper, down Rs.2.50 to Rs 61.04, the second reduction in 12 days. Meanwhile, CNG price has been hiked by Rs.4.50 kg and piped cooking gas will be dearer by Rs.2.49 a unit from Saturday. The revised price of CNG will be Rs 43.45 kg while piped gas will now cost Rs 26.58 unit.
